Meet The Team

Will

When I was younger, I remember my favorite aisles in the grocery store were the ones that had the hair and beauty products – the bottles were so cool and different from each other and the smells were so interesting, I really liked it a lot. One of my earliest memories is my mother telling me about a haircut that she had by a very well-known hair stylist here in Edmonton and how amazing her experience was. Every time she talked about it she smiled and that was a great feeling for me. I also had several cousins that were hairstylists and I looked up to them – to me, they were rockstars!

As an owner that works behind the chair and has a very big clientele, I love all parts of the many different things that I do. I really enjoy the look of my salon and the presentation of it. I love my clientele and want to make sure that every client has an exemplary experience as we surpass all of our guests expectations. I love my team and really appreciate working with such amazing artists and professionals. We are always learning and that makes me happy! I love the craft, the cutting, the colouring, the detailing, the challenges and overcoming them. The ownership and the business administration side of things is also quite fun!

My goal is to keep Chrome running and providing services for my guests. As long as I’m having fun, it’s good for my soul. One day I’d like to retire and run an animal shelter or animal rescue as a way to give back to my community.

In the meantime, I stay busy with my hobbies: hair (LOL), art, design, architecture, music, fashion, nature, plants and animals.

At work, I’m continuing to focus on working with the best team to give every guest and  client a customized experience and a great hairstyle that suits their personality and needs. Trends come and go but quality and love of craft is forever.

As a kid, I loved playing with friends’ and family’s hair and as I got older, I would make everybody let me do their hair for occasions. My first job in high school was at a salon sweeping up and washing hair and it was there that I really became interested in the technical aspect of being a hairstylist and enrolled in hair school immediately after graduating.

My favorite part of what I do is seeing people leave Chrome with renewed confidence. Knowing that I’m able to help people feel beautiful makes my work meaningful.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family outdoors, camping, hiking, riding bikes, swimming and skating. I also love watching the latest movies and keeping up with my favorite shows.  My ultimate goal is to see more of the world and experience different lifestyles and cultures.

Lately I’ve been loving helping people achieve low-maintenance natural colors and styles that they feel confident in wearing, even in between salon visits! Face-framing layers or curtain bangs are so popular lately and grow out nicely.

I was inspired to become a hairstylist at a young age when I saw celebrities change their hair in an instant. As time passed, I developed a love for hair that drove me to make a career of it.

My favorite part of what I do is definitely all the good conversations and laughs I have with my guests.

When I’m not at work I love working out, watching TV shows and movies and trying out new restaurants. I’m also working on my primary goal of going on more adventures!

This season, my go-to trend is a lot of warmer tones, rich browns and plenty of shine.

When I was a little girl, we had a family friend that was a hairstylist. I remember being in complete awe of her, thinking she was just the coolest person in the world! I started cutting and coloring my own hair as well as my family and friends and it just never stopped. I absolutely love seeing the joy from a fresh new look.

My favorite part of what I do is teaching people things they never knew about their hair, how to care for their hair, and the smiles when clients see the final results.

When I’m not doing hair, I love sitting in the sun, doing yoga, painting and cuddling my cat Lucifer.

My goal is to continue growing my clientele and my dream is to move into a place with a yard for a garden and maybe a family

My go-to trend is always balayages and curtain bangs.

Famous quote I live by: “Whatever you are, be a good one!”

What Clients Say

Miracle workers! William and his team were kind caring and amazing at their craft. Plus very environmentally friendly. I came in with a big highlight disaster and he was able to figure out how to fix it so I could go in public again. As I was there for a long time they even offered me food. It was worth every penny...highly recommend them!

It was my first time and the owner took super good care of my hair. Great suggestions for haircut and color as I had no idea what to get. It was an amazing experience
