In 2026, Chrome Spa Salon proudly celebrates 25 years of serving Edmonton. Established in 2001, Chrome has become one of the city’s most recognized destinations for advanced hair colour, healthy hair treatments, keratin services, and exceptional guest experiences.
Founded by William Halabi, Chrome Spa Salon represents much more than a hair salon. It is the culmination of passion, education, creativity, and a deep commitment to both the beauty industry and the community that has shaped it.
A Downtown Edmonton Story
Chrome Spa Salon was the fourth salon designed and created by William Halabi. Since then, he has gone on to develop and open five salons throughout Edmonton, with a sixth concept planned for the fall of 2026.
Born and raised in downtown Edmonton, William is the son of Lebanese immigrants and attended school downtown from kindergarten through grade five. He has spent most of his life living and working in the heart of the city.
Today, the historic Oliver neighbourhood—now officially known as Wîhkwêntôwin—continues to be home to the community that William loves and has supported throughout his career.

For more than three decades, William has remained deeply connected to the downtown community and has witnessed the incredible transformation and growth of Edmonton firsthand.
More Than 33 Years Behind the Chair
With over 33 years behind the chair, William Halabi has dedicated his life to mastering the craft of hairdressing.
Education has always been at the heart of his career.
His advanced training includes:

- Sebastian Academy.

- Schwarzkopf Professional education.

- Goldwell.
- Multiple advanced cutting and colouring systems.
- More than 22 completed professional colour brand certifications and advanced programs.
Despite decades in the industry, William continues to pursue education and invests heavily in the growth and development of his team.

As William recently shared:
“I built this salon because of my passion for the industry and my desire to create a better system that allows professionals to earn their maximum potential while working with like-minded people who want to elevate cosmetology. We want to improve the industry, try new techniques, explore new products, and continue learning. This system isn’t for everyone, but for those who want more—and for those who believe structure, mentorship, and growth matter—this is home.”
